Best Tooth Brushing Technique!

Our practice is all about making dental care easy and accessible.

We strive to do our part by providing high quality, affordable, and compassionate care. Patients do their part by practicing proper home care. Tooth brushing is a big part of that.

After all these years, it still is not clear to everyone how and how often you need to brush your teeth.

Some people make it so hard by saying you need to brush and floss after every meal. Really, the ADA recommends that you brush twice a day for two minutes and floss once a day. Phew -- That doesn't sound so bad! Almost everyone can handle that.

Next, the question is how you should brush.

You need to hold the brush at a 45 degree angle and with a moderate degree of pressure move the toothbrush back and forth. When it comes to the back of your teeth, hold your toothbrush upright as you brush. This great video by the ADA will show you exactly what to do.

One more thing, you need to replace your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months. We will happily supply you with a new one if you need one during your next visit!

Wishing you good dental health,

Lawrence Lehman
